if someone says you call them late, what time is too late?
are there different times for land lines and cell phones?
I think 1:20 am would be too late. But not too late to text message. Yet
what if they are out of cell range so texting is not an option?

If you know what time they stay up till, and you KNOW that there aren't any people in the house who like to go to sleep at 10 pm, then it's silly to not call someone who you KNOW would call you if you said to.
So there.
(the driveway occasionally gets cell reception, but it would probably be a little silly to stand out there sending text messages at one in the morning.)
